Skin care is something I obsess over. Like I literally change it up 24.7 & I cant get enough of all the products that come out for it. I have a huge box filled with just face masks, and I can’t stop buying them no matter how full that box gets. It really is ridiculous, but sorry not sorry I won’t be stopping any time soon.

When I was younger my biggest skin care concern was acne, as my skin till this day is very acne prone. Lucky for me it’s not as bad as it was back in my middle school days, so I don’t worry too much about it. Now in my 30s I am ALL about anything and everything that is anti aging, because I absolutely love that nobody believes me when I say I am 31, so I would love to keep this going into my 50s! Feeling young is important but looking young can be just as impowering too. 

When I got into my 30s I had this break through discovery that I needed to take care of ME. Sounds so simple right? But for years I had been putting myself on the back burner and worrying about everyone else. It was okay that momma didn’t have health insurance, as long as they did. It wasn’t necessary for me to get my 3 meals of the day, I was too busy making sure their bellies were nice and full. I really couldn’t believe that I didn’t realize it earlier but it was definitely time to change that up. I started doing more for myself, my health, and my skin!

Dermae Advanced Peptide and Collagen line was exactly what I was looking for at just the right time. I have been using it consistently for the past three months, and I have already been able to see drastic results. When using the eye cream I have noticed that all the under eye wrinkles I accumulated in the past 8 years of motherhood have visibly reduced, a lot! Summer is in session with Singing Machine Karaoke!

Jace turned 7! Why does time go by so fast. I swear he was just born last week! As he grows I am starting to see more of his personality shine. When he was younger as most kids are, he was very nervous about performing infront of people, and had very bad stage fright- to the point of tears. Which reminds me of myself at the age of 4/5! I knew I loved singing and dancing but the fact that people were watching is what stopped me from really enjoying. But like everything if you do it often you learn to get over that fear. First grade was just that for him. With the help from his awesome teachers he learned to over come stage frieght and now he’s a true performer in his element up on that stage. I love watching him use his fears to help him grow, and it ignites fearlessness in me as well. Who would have thought that my child would be the one teaching me new things each day, huh?

When asked what was his favorite thing about first grade he said all of his shows that he performed, and when they did karaoke in class. Instantly I knew the best birthday gift to get him that would be awesome for him to use all summer long. I had to get my little rockstars their very own karaoke. So when The Singing Machine said they wanted to send us over their Groove Cube Karaoke System, I couldn’t wait to see their faces when they unwrapped it open. They really didn’t see it coming. But they wanted it out of the box pronto, so they can start their performances!

The Singing Machine Groove Cube Karaoke system has so many options and cool details. First off it’s light weight and portable, and very easy to use. It’s also a beauty just to look at with all the multi colored LED lights that synchronize to the music. It comes with one wired microphone, but you can buy another one to connect into as well. Their is a couple of ways you can connect the music to play, but we have just done it through Bluetooth compatibility which has been super easy so I can play it straight from my phones Apple Music playlists. Once it’s connected, you can change the volume of the music and of your microphone to be at a perfect volume so you can hear yourself but at the same time still hear the beat to the music. It was made perfectly for the little ones too since all buttons are easy to press, and volumes are simple to adjust. Something even cooler is the USB port which allows you to record your performances so you can save them and share them with your whole family. It gives them a feel like they created their own music. Jace already has big plans, and is putting together his own album. Yup, an album because now he says when he grows up he’s going to be a rapper. Dreaming big is the way to go, and I am happy that I found something so amazing that sparks his interest in music and at the same time gives him the confidence to make it happen. Caleb wants to be just like his big brother, he thinks he’s the coolest person on the planet so it’s really cute to see him pick up the mic and try his best at the lyrics! When he isn’t singing he absolutely loves being Jace’s back up dancer, with the best moves around! Seriously don’t know where he gets all that rhythm. I’m telling you these two are meant to be on a stage. Their sass, their attitude, their moves!!!

Summer Vacation Slime Time with #HotelT3

Sony Pictures Animations is bringing you Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation in July 13th! I was hosted by Sony to catch an early screening of the movie on the first day of summer, and let’s just say it’s not something you want to miss out on. Its hilarious for all ages to enjoy, and filled with so much action. Seriously their are no dull moments! 

Join our favorite monster family as they embark on a monster cruise vacation. Mavis is trying to give her dad a little break from running the hotel, and giving him a vacation of his own, but then Drac “zings” with a mysterious lady and everything goes a bit wild on board. 

After the movie we got to meet with the Queens girl herself, Fran Drescher who plays the voice of The bride of Frankenstein. She spoke to us about how excited she was to play a voice in an animation movie because she thought she wouldn’t have to wear any make up or a bra for it, but she let us know that unfortunately that wasn’t the case. She also got very candid with us about it being her 18 year anniversary of being cancer free, and how we really need to care for our bodies and use nothing but the best but also eat nothing but the best to make sure our bodies stay as healthy as possible. It was great to hear her speak about that because this year I have been very aware of things I put on or in my body. She was such a positive light in the room, and I loved watching her speak. 

Sony sent us home with a very cute First Day of Summer DIY Slime craft box, and it was such a hit at home that i figured I would share it with you!!

So all we used was already bought green slime, green glitter, and small beach shells. We dumped them all into a big plastic bowl, and just used our hands to mix it all up together. The boys loved making it, and that it was super easy. Now it’s in the jar whenever they want to play with it. It’s their very own Blobby like the one in Hotel Transylvania! 

They sent us home with a PS4 Hotel Transylvania 3: Monsters Overboard game, but unfortunately we do no have a PS4 to play it on... but lucky for you we would like to give it away to one of our awesome followers who do, so you can enjoy the game before it comes out in stores! Domino's Hotspots making delivery even more convenient!

 In May I attended a really fun and tasty event with Domino's in the Bronx, at their new Pizza Theatre to inform us influencers about all the really cool new things they were working up for us. It was such a great event where I learned so much about the behind the scene's from making the pizza, to even their programs that they have when it comes to helping our communities first hand. They have created a new store design, that feels less like an on the go pizza shop, and more like a restaurant. It's an open space for customers to watch the process of their orders being made right on the spot. Plus a small staircase for the little ones to stand on to get a close up look at how pizza is made. I was so excited to be able to make my very own pizza, the same way millions of Domino's pizzas are made daily. It was lots of fun to learn all the ins and outs of it, and now I am a pizza making pro, kind of. 

I'm here to tell  you about how they are redefining delivery convenience by launching Hotspots in over 150,000 locations without a traditional address needed. That's right, now you can receive pizza at a local park, a beach, and thousands of other unexpected areas. If you ask me, this is life changing! I am going to be sharing how this service helped me out on the first day of summer.

We just got back from vacation on Wednesday night, so the boys have been pretty jet-lagged, and so have I. Its just one of those lazy days after you have had so much fun that you just can't hang like usual. They did, however, want to go over to the park to see if they could find some friends to hang out with, and so we headed over there until I realized they haven't really eaten much and should be hungry very soon. The usual would have been me giving them a 30 minute hang out session until we had to leave to go pick up some food, and that would have caused major tantrums about how they did not get much time to play, and no mom wants to go through that drama, but at the same time you know your kids and you know when they need fuel as well to keep the day drama free. Domino's Hotspots made this a complete win-win situation for us all. I just took out my phone, ordered the pizza to be delivered to us at our local park, and through text messages, I was able to find out how close it was to being delivered. So simple, and so fast. I was able to let them play with their friends, and I was able to just sit on the bench and relax. They said the pizza would be delivered in 20 minutes, and it was actually delivered in less time. So we got it a lot faster than it would have taken us to go and get some as well. When it came we went to the benches to enjoy our delicious pizza and cheesy bread without any hustle and bustle, or tantrums.

It is a service I know I will continue to use all summer because I want to keep the summer less chaotic as possible, and a whole lot easier on myself. We cant always be super mom and carry millions of snacks with us, and we also don't want to be the bad cop mom who is pulling them out of fun to go walk to a pizza shop. This service benefits all of us, if you are a sports coach who wants to treat the kids to pizza after a big win, you no longer have to lug around gear to a restaurant. If you are enjoying a kid-free beach day, and you don't want to leave your tanning session. It can come in handy on so many different occasions, and I am so glad I got to enjoy this convenience. Plus, the boys were super impressed that they were able to eat their pizza at the park without any walking necessary. I know I was the happiest of them all though because this tired momma wanted pizza too! 

Domino’s Hotspots are online-only for prepaid orders on Dominos.com and in mobile apps. Once your location has been determined, local Domino’s Hotspots that are available for delivery will appear on a map to select. Before checking out, customers can leave instructions to help the driver find them.  After completing their order, customers will receive text message alerts about their Domino’s Hotspot delivery progress, including a final text that gives the estimated arrival of the driver at the hand-off spot. PowerMomDay w/ Loacker

I started off the month of May exactly how I wanted. Empowered, driven, and grateful. I really owe that to the Power Mom Day event with Loacker! I had heard so many amazing things about last years event that I just knew I couldn’t miss it this year. Plus it was in the neighborhood. So I told my mom friends about it and snatched up my ticket before it was too late. Let me tell you, it was one of the best events I have been too, not just because I got to eat a bunch of delicious chocolates without any judgment, but also because I got to be around a ton of fearless mommas from the NYC area. It was such a positive and friendly atmosphere. Women raising up other women. I absolutely loved the energy in the room. I loved all the workshops that were given to tie into all the parts that make Motherhood. From authenticity, health, and family. There was so much to talk about, and we were given a safe space to embrace it.

I must say the authenticity workshop was my favorite as I was able to hear from fellow bloggers who are doing big things in the media world, and I was able to hear them speak on how they started up their dream/ their brand and turned it into something on top of being a mother. I really enjoyed hearing everyone introduce themselves as their future selves. Full on manifestations we’re going down, and it was such a powerful moment. Not only was the snacks and the workshops great but the space itself was just stunning, and with every mirror you passed you read inspirational sayings that gave you a feeling of determination.

I couldn’t help but be in that room and not feel honored to be a women, to be a mom. It gave me the best feeling ever, and made me realize that God handpicked me for these titles in my life. He chose me to be a mom to two boys, He chose me to be a strong and driven women in NYC. He also helped me gain the confidence that I needed to stand up and start doing what I have always loved doing through my blogging, writing. That day helped me see my growth, and truly appreciate it. I needed to step back and take it all in to remind myself that I have bloomed, and I need to keep on blooming because that is exactly what I am meant to do. 

As I sit here craving a Loacker chocolate ( if you never have had one you need to go find one ASAP!) I feel blessed to have been able to enjoy that day with all those other special moms, celebrating us, and enjoying the down time to remind ourselves exactly why we are Power Moms. I am already looking forward to next years event and all the years to come.
